The secret behind a great win_

Leading people is hard, often thank less work. Mastering the balance between getting things done and helping people grow can take a lifetime. In the best teams, it’s a playbook which the Head pays full attention to, taking the bumps and bruises that come with, as well as the glorious wins. #Freedom

Interestingly, Tshepo’s Head of Studio is ALWAYS the first person to put his wins up (on my radar at least.) She broadcasts her team’s successes, never taking any credit and, almost always as we find out later, being the catalyst, cheerleader and coach for a lot of them. Hats off @Riyana! Thanks for showing that if you look long enough, behind every great win is a leader who enables and celebrates.

When they win, you win_

No matter where you are on your leadership journey, you always have someone looking up to you. As a Marketing Head or manager, that comes with the added responsibility of getting things done through said people. Sage advice is to “Manage tasks and lead people.” Remember that behind the outcome you desperately want is a soul that needs to be informed, inspired and involved. Here’s a useful model to navigate the see-saw between good management and great leadership:
